Recently, a small notice in the paper regarding the trustee sale for the balance of Harvest Glen made quite a splash. While foreclosure is not always seen in a positive light, this foreclosure is necessary to transfer title from the former owner, Tascon-Harvest Glen, LLC, to the new owner, Harvest Glen Land Holdings, LLC, an entity controlled by Markel|Eagle Partners, LLC. The new owner and Eagle Construction have already entered into a contract for Eagle to buy the remaining lots.
This notice has created some commotion and spawned some fears that there is additional distress for the community. Rest assured that there is no such distress. A sale to this new owner actually enables a smooth transition for the development, and Eagle Construction is very excited to get the next building under construction. The goal of this transaction will be the retention of value for the current residents of Harvest Glen and a tremendous value for future residents. This step is progress toward mutual goals - completing the development, building great Eagle homes and filling a gap in low-maintenance, single level living home options in Chesterfield.
