Everyone that has attended a banquet or a chamber lunch at one time has had the opportunity to taste Dee's great food and desserts. Dee Milligan moved to Poteau in 1974 with her husband. She has raised 10 children that includes her step children. When ask how many grandkids, she laughed and said "Oh My; that's to many to count." She is now working on the great grandkids. She worked for Poteau Food Market in the Bakery from 1980-1990. Ms. Dee talked about working for Hildred LaFevers and what a great Boss he was to work for. Shortly after the death of her husband in 1989, she relocated to Texas with her son and worked a short time for Homeland Grocery. It wasn't the same in Texas and Dee missed home having grown up in the Heavener area . She returned home in 1997 and opened the current location, set up shop creating her own unique style of sweets and home cooking that could be catered for any occasion large or small. She opened with 3 employees and today has 9 employees. She averages 15 to 16 dozen of donuts a day. This does not include cake orders and catering events throughout each week. Dee sets a great example how your dreams can come true if you do what you love.
"Dee has been there every time we called for food, donuts, dessert or support."
Congratulations Dee ! We wish you the best on your big day and many more years of success.
