Imagine starting the school year unprepared and worried about not having the proper tools to succeed. That's the reality for thousands of students throughout the state each September as they commence their school year. Our School Supply Drive is an easy and fun way of giving back to your community!
Here's what one of our recipients had to say: "Education is the path towards conquering poverty. The donation of school supplies...prepares at-risk youth to begin the school year." If you are seeking to give back to your community in a fun and easy way, click the link and you too could make a difference!
What’s the best way to celebrate the first day of summer? Volunteering! Employees from Forbes would certainly agree. Forbes volunteers spent the day at Liberty State Park in Jersey City revitalizing different areas of the park to create a clean environment for park goers. Another 25 volunteers spent the morning conducting a series of fun and educational workshops at a local Jersey City public school. As students were preparing for the school year to end, Forbes volunteers decided to treat the students by hosting a Fit & Fun workshop, a Craft Fair, and a Solar Car Assembly workshop. The students were jumping with excitement to end the school year on a fun and positive note. Thank you Forbes, for making an impact in the Jersey City community!

Kris began as a traditional volunteer but decided to become a Project Coordinator (a.k.a. Volunteer Leader) last spring when he noticed a call-to-action for new leaders in his community. His advice to first-time volunteers is, “be prepared to help and to enjoy serving people”. When Kris is notvolunteering, he keeps busy with gardening, photography and travel.
