Spook Out North Kingstown
Year 2 gets a little spookier
For the second year, the library will participate in North Kingstown Education Foundation's Spook Out NK fundraiser event.

The library grounds will be decorated with festive blow ups, witches, ghosts, and more! Visit the library during the day, and in the dark of night to see all the spooky decorations.

You may even get spooked, yourself!

The Goblin Emporer
Sixty-seven years ago, Hurricane Carol blew through New England, wreaking havoc in North Kingstown and the rest of the state.

Here we see a large tree that fell against power lines next to the North Kingstown Ambulance Association headquarters on West Main Street in Wickford. Look closely and you can see a man dangling from the crane working to fix the situation. The hurricane was devastating for the ambulance corps as the building was flooded and the town’s ambulance, destroyed.

The headquarters, formerly the Wickford Methodist Episcopal Church, is the shop The Captain’s Table today.
