Grand Re-Opening Celebration, September 29 & 30
with Treasure Hunt for 100 Lucky Leaves
|
the indigenous leaflet ~ September 2017
|
Happy fall to all!
We love this time of the year with the vibrant changing colors of leaves, dramatic brushstroke skies at sunset, and those crisp, cool evenings (surely they're on their way, right!?). We are happy that we are able to gather our indigenous fall collection and share it with you in the dappled sunlight of our new home
in East Walnut Hills.
Please join us for our Grand Re-Opening Celebration on September 29 & 30. Enjoy the handmade collection while sipping champagne and nibbling on sweets from 1 to 9. Our whole neighborhood will be hoppin' for their event, Walk on Woodburn from 6 to 9. Friday is also the first day to bring in any found lucky indigenous leaves.
We've been expanding the selection at the gallery with all of your favorites along with an impressive array of new works, having received deliveries from more than
30 artists since our soft-opening!

Please join us as we celebrate our new gallery and the first day to bring in your found LUCKY LEAVES, along with the neighborhood event, Walk on Woodburn (WoW)!
The Grand Re-Opening Celebration kicks off on Friday, 1-9.
Enjoy champagne & sweets as you take-in our dynamic handmade collection of arts, crafts & jewelry. See what our neighbors in East Walnut Hills are up to for WoW, 6-9 ~ like our friends at Your Friends & Neighbors having an anniversary sale and Manifest Gallery launching a new season of exhibitions.
It seems like our soft-opening just happened, but it looks like we've been pretty busy since then. We have so much more to share with you as more than 30 artists delivered their latest designs:
B Skinner, Larry Mack, Jim & Sue Aufderhaar, Tim Rooseboom, Elizabeth Keith, Jason Parsley, Jackie Keck, Elizabeth Ross, Michael Macone, Paul Borian, Elisabeth Tran, Sarah Brueck-Williams, Amy Greely, Ryan Durbin, Martha Enriquez, Jonathan Simons, Yvonne Cooper, Rena Hopkins, Barbara MacCambridge, Amy Wallace, Michelle Christman, Sara Pearce, Bob Pricer, Jessica Wolf, Melissa Legg-Bracken, Terri Eilermann, Kerin Houseberg, Ron & Paula Mynatt, Kiyomi & Aaron Dickinson...
If you're one of the 100 LUCKY ones who have found a
LUCKY indigenous LEAF
,
please bring it in to see what you have won! Every leaf is worth at least a $10 gift certificate. Leaves have been lost at so many of our favorite spots around town. Enjoy the Treasure Hunt and stay tuned for location hints on our social media pages and more monthly newsletters.

The fun continues with more champagne & sweets,
more lucky leaves found and ...
Pottery Trunk Show by
Jason Kiley
, 11-4
Enjoy meeting Jason and seeing a great collection of his cool & clever pottery including our
new leaf
indigenous cups.
Don't be surprised with his skill of perfectly combining pop-culture elements with kitties, dinosaurs, or beer cans into curious new ideas - like taco cat, PBR2-D2, cereal killer bowls, and more...
"I am a studio potter who has combined my love of collage with my love of clay. I do this through the use of decals that I create and print for my ceramic work. I decorate my ware with combined imagery ranging from historic photos to pictures my cat Dumptruck. Through these strange collaborations I work to achieve a sense of nostalgia, and to make you laugh." ~Jason

Form and function at its finest! Please welcome
Tim Rooseboom to the
indigenous family of artists. Tim creates a stylish line of functional pewter works, including these wonderful s
ets of measuring spoons. Each themed set has fine detail making each "spoon" its own character.
From Tim ~
"My Goal is to bring character to purpose. My process is a lot like a chef perfecting a recipe. Once the recipe is worked out, I gather ingredients, follow directions and reproduce items (with a little tinkering now and again)."

Help us welcome new local maker,
Elizabeth Ross, to the
indigenous family of artists! Elizabeth has added her hand printed, functional textiles to our dynamic collection. Pick up a few as a hostess gift or an entire set for a wedding gift and choose a couple for your own kitchen ~ as there are colorful napkins, tote bags with pockets, and the popular flour sack tea towels that soften with age. Fabric is 100% cotton and have been prewashed and preshrunk. All of the inks are non-toxic and water-based. There may be a natural variance in color and/or print. However, this only adds to the unique charm of a hand printed item.
"My love of the simple mid-century modern aesthetic and the joyful whimsical nature of folk art became inspiration for my original designs. I do hope you like them! I feel blessed and lucky to not only have made my creative dream come true but to be able to share it with you." ~E.Ross
