STUDENT CENTER
Jessica Yauri, Baruch ’24, embarked on college in the midst of a pandemic, as a first-generation, low-income, queer Ecuadorian-American student in the SEEK program. A hard worker and engaged student leader, she took classes over the summer while interning for three civic engagement organizations. Next summer, she plans to participate in FTI Consulting’s rotational internship.
Jessica’s advice: “The only difference between sticking out and standing out is you. I have been exposed to diverse groups of people and this has made me adapt quickly, which led to my passion for helping groups who face challenges in their pursuit of education and gender equality.
