A New Year's Wish List from CAMBA
CAMBA, our social service agency partner in the church shelter program, is asking those who have sheltered their clients to help in providing gifts to the homeless people it serves. CAMBA has created a list of specific requests. It would be great to have Plymouth help fill these wishes. 
 
Choose a client from the online list, sign your name, purchase the gift/gifts (wrapping optional), label them with the recipient's name and bring them to Plymouth by February 17. If you would like to include a card with an encouraging message, we know it would be well received. If possible, include a gift receipt (in case an exchange is needed). There is a donation bin in Hillis Hall.
It's not Black History. It's American History.
A week before Christmas I found myself in the basement below Hillis Hall holding the hand of a visitor who told me that this place felt safe. She had just learned that she was a 4th-generation family member of Anna Maria Weems, a young woman who had fled slavery via the Underground Railroad in the 1850s...

Railroad Ties, is beautiful and moving short film focused on the Underground Railroad, featuring Plymouth Church. Learn how Melissa Collom of the History Ministry gave an on camera tour to six special visitors, and travelled to the Sundance Film Festival to represent Plymouth.

Friday Fellowship | Fridays @ 3:00 - 6:00 pm
Sunday School children of all ages are invited to join us weekly for free play in our classroom followed by playtime in the gym and playground, weather permitting. 
Rise & Shine | Tuesdays & Wednesday @ 9:30 - 11:00 pm
Join us for this informal play group that familiarizes children under the age of three with a classroom setting. An age appropriate art project, toys and friends engage the children, giving the adults an opportunity to chat. All are welcome.
