When choosing shooting glasses, opt for yellow or orange lenses to enhance the clay pigeons in low light and to block out glare. Amber lenses are generally good for enhancing your perception, and purple/vermilion increases visibility.

Instructional Sessions
Silver Willow can help you achieve your shot-gunning goals! Whether you like sporting clays, skeet, competitive or recreational shooting, or you just want to be ready for a corporate shoot or an upcoming hunting trip, we can help.
Silver Willow has the highest concentration of Level I Instructors of any sporting clays club anywhere in the world. Our Instructors collectively have thousands of hours of shooting and teaching experience. Learn new techniques and refine your shooting style from one of our experienced NSCA Certified Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 instructors.
Whether you're a beginner, intermediate or advanced shooter, there is an instructor that can help you reach your objectives. Choose a single session or save 10% when you purchase a bundle of four sessions. You also have the option to shoot solo or bring a friend.

Lorne Howes Cancer Shoot

Every year in April for 28 years, Silver Willow & the friends and family of Lorne Howes co-host the Annual Cancer Fundraiser Shoot. This fun shoot is in honour of Lorne Howes, who was a life long friend of Don Day and family.
Lorne fought a courageous fight with
Leukaemia
but lost the battle and passed away at the young age of 30. Each year, Lorne's brother Randy and his parents join us for the event.
We would like to thank all the shooters who participated this year and braved the cold Alberta "spring" weather. $40.00 of each registration fee was donated to the Cancer Society in Lorne's name. We also received $2290.00 in donations from our competitors. After lunch, door prizes (which were donated by local businesses) were presented to all the shooters. It is our local businesses and those who so generously donate that make the Lorne Howes Cancer shoot such a successful and fun event!!

The Pump Gun Shoot is a fun event that is limited to pump-action shotguns.
The intention of this shoot is to provide the participants an opportunity to dust off one of their less-frequently used, and sometimes family treasured, shotguns and have some fun with it.
Congratulations to Ryan, Stu and Jason. They had a 3 way tie for winner with a HOA of 118 out of 140

The Children's Cottage Fundraiser Shoot
"Clays for the Cottage"

2017 was the first year for Silver Willow to host this amazing event for the Children's Cottage Society of Calgary. It was Silver Willows largest event in 2017 and promises to be the same this year. They raised over 85,000 for this wonderful organization that supports children in need in Calgary.

Andrew has credentials for coaching on European driven hunts and skeet where he was English champion numerous times. Andrew has been the technical skeet coaching author for many years for a prestigious British magazine.
