Four high school students recently set out for Washington, D.C., to represent REC on the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Tour. They learned about electric cooperatives, met with elected officials, sharpened leadership skills and connected with peers from across the country. Learn more about their Youth Tour experience.<<<

Outage Alerts: Stay Informed During a Power Outage

We understand the importance of staying informed during a power outage. Our proactive alerts keep you informed from when the power goes out until it's restored. With two-way communications, you can text OUT to report your outage and STATUS for an update.

Summer Storm Safety

After a summer storm, if you come across a downed power line, move at least 35 feet away from the line and anything touching it. Contact REC immediately and keep others away. Driving a car? Don't drive over downed power lines.
