What Do the Holidays Mean for CASA Kane County?
A young girl’s adoption recently reached a joyful conclusion after a long, difficult journey. While the case began with a goal of reunification, the team identified serious concerns for the child’s safety. They persisted—holding countless conversations with the child welfare agency, submitting detailed reports, and advocating tirelessly in court.
Earlier this year, after a best interest trial, the Judge changed the case goal to adoption. Thanks to the relentless work of the CASA volunteer and support from the team, this child now has the chance to grow up in a safe, permanent, and loving home.
So inspired by the impact, the foster mother entered training and is now a CASA volunteer herself!
As the holiday season approaches, we are reminded of the care and compassion shared
within a loving family—expressed through cherished traditions, thoughtful gifts, and the
creation of lasting memories—something that every child deserves.
Because of your kindness and generosity, the children served by CASA will have the opportunity to feel the love and care they need with the initiatives described below.
