Your Community Impact

Helping Families Rebuild After a Fire

Thanks to a $9,000 grant from the Solana Beach Fund at the Coastal Community Foundation at San Diego Foundation, CRC assisted families who were displaced by an apartment fire in La Colonia De Eden Gardens in January. The funds helped us meet urgent needs, providing essentials like food, housing assistance and case management to help families stabilize. We’re grateful for the partnership that made this possible!

Volunteer Moment: It's the Little Things

A CRC Food and Nutrition Center volunteer recently shared this moment with us: "A mother was shopping with her young son. At the canned goods shelf, his mother started gathering cans of corn. However, her son kept making these hand movements as though he were peeling a banana. I finally caught on and they waited while I went to the back and brought back enough corn on the cob for him and his family to enjoy. He couldn't stop hugging my legs and saying thank you. His mother's eyes sparkled and then there were the same exclamations from her. I knew and felt, once again, that I was really the one that was graced by being able to serve her."

Making a Difference

Care Packages Uplift Moms this Mother's Day

This Mother’s Day, ABC 10News highlighted how Caring for Mama’s care packages provide a lifeline to mothers at CRC's domestic violence shelter. Thank you to Kim Richards and the Caring for Mama team for your generous gifts and for putting moms first when they need it most!

Stamping Out Hunger Together

Thank you to everyone who donated food or volunteered during Stamp Out Hunger, the National Association of Letter Carriers’ nationwide food drive. CRC received over 15,340 pounds of food from the Encinitas and Solana Beach post offices – helping us restock our pantry shelves and support those facing food insecurity.

Thank You, Rotary Club of Del Mar!

Each month, the Rotary Club of Del Mar donates food and personal care items to our Food & Nutrition Center – helping us serve over 600 monthly visitors and keeping our shelves filled. We’re grateful for your ongoing dedication and generosity!
