MEET KRISTIN EVANS - FCT

Kristin is a Trust Officer serving the members of Affinity Credit Union. She helps members with retirement planning, retirement income strategies, investment planning, as well as estate planning and trust administration. Kristin has more than 30 years of experience in trading, investment analysis, and portfolio management.

Kristin’s ties with Affinity Credit Union and the Firestone Credit Union date back to her childhood. Her father, Lonnie Evans, worked as a Purchasing Manager for Firestone and retired after more than 40 years of employment. Lonnie also served on the Firestone Credit Union board of directors. Growing up, Kristin was a recipient of the Firestone Scholarship through the National Merit Scholarship Corporation, and one of her first loans as a young adult came from Firestone Credit Union to support her as she accepted her first job out east.

Starting her career in economic research for a large Japanese bank in New York City, Kristin has also gained additional expertise with firms in the Midwest and West Coast by trading stocks, options, and commodity futures for institutional money managers, hedge funds, and an endowment. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Japanese from the University of Iowa. She also holds Series 7, 65, and 63 securities licenses.

TAME THE HUNGER WITH IOWA WILD

Affinity is proud to be the presenting sponsor of the Iowa Wild's Tame the Hunger event, partnering with Meals from the Heartland to pack meals for local school families.

Since 2019, we've helped pack nearly 200,000 meals, demonstrating our dedication to community service. Our recent event on April 2nd was a huge success, with over 50,000 meals packed and a great time had by all. It's so rewarding to see the real difference we can make in fighting hunger locally through initiatives like these.

BOARD OF DIRECTORS ELECTION PROFILE

James Reasoner

James Reasoner has been employed at Bridgestone/Firestone for nearly 30 years.

He was hired into the maintenance department as a Pipefitter and has worked as an Electrician, Leadman Planner, and currently a Frontline Leader & Maintenance Supervisor. James is a 20-year journeyman electrician and during his time in the IBEW was the Vice Chair for the Firestone Unit.

James has been a member of Affinity Credit Union for over 25 years, joining the Board of Directors for his first term in 2023. As a director, he would like for our members, current and new, to feel welcome and have the comfort of knowing we will always be there to serve their needs. As we enter the new world of banking technology, he wants to ensure our members that we still have community involvement, education, and financial freedoms to best serve the interests for all members.

When not at work you can find James enjoying his time off at his family farm in southern Iowa. James also enjoys riding motorcycles and camping, both hobbies created through the help of Affinity Credit Union.

Membership will not be asked to cast ballots as this year's election is uncontested.
