"What are your organizing goals for 2019?" This is the question that I always ask my clients during our first session of the year. For some, their answer is to simply "maintain" while others have the goal of going through every cupboard, closet, nook and cranny in hopes to declutter more. Whatever your goals may be, know that just like with everything else in life (working out, eating right, spending less money) it takes time for your new habits to stick. Don't be too hard on yourself if the piles in your laundry room begin to pile up or the pantry gets a little disheveled. The more time you spend fine tuning your organizing method, the less time it'll take to put the disheveled back together when things begin to go array. Remember: Not every method out there works for every person. Finding YOUR personalized solution that is easy for you to maintain is what matters most.

Until next time -
