2020-2021 VPC Kick-Off
July 2020
All parents and guardians of students at Vanguard College Preparatory School are automatically a part of the Vanguard Parent Crew (VPC). The VPC enriches the school community by supporting academic, operational, and athletic programs.

Life may look different right now, but please know that the VPC is continuing efforts to support the school. Please join our support of the school administration, teachers, and staff as they plan and communicate over the summer.

Working in cooperation with school administration, the VPC operates to provide volunteering and financial support through such vehicles as fundraising campaigns, grade level sponsors, sports team parents, teacher appreciation efforts, academic and athletic program enhancements, student recognition, and more.

2020-2021 VPC Officers
Hi, I am Christy Holze (Vanguard c/o 1987) and am serving as VPC Treasurer. My family includes Stephen (Vanguard c/o 1988), Matthew (Vanguard c/o 2019) and Andrew (Vanguard c/o 2023). I am a CPA by profession and currently volunteer with the school as a Board of Trustees member since 2017 and as VPC Treasurer since 2019, and previously as the President of VPO ('15-'16) and VPO Treasurer ('17-'18). When not working as a CPA or Vanguard volunteer, I can be found riding my mountain bike or road bike while enjoying the outdoors with my family.
Hi, my name is Hayley Peavy, and I’ll be serving as Secretary on the Executive Board this year. 2020-2021 will be our third year at Vanguard. Our daughter, Kaitlyn (Vanguard c/o 2024), will be entering the 9th Grade. We have enjoyed every minute of being at Vanguard! My husband, Jason, and I love living in Waco and also have a 4-year old who will be starting Pre-K this year. I look forward to an exciting year ahead of us!
Hello, my name is Gay Padgett. I will be serving with the VPC as the VP of Athletic Activities. Our daughter, Erin (Vanguard c/o 2023), will be a Sophomore this year. She has attended Vanguard since the 7th grade and has participated in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Vanguard has been a wonderful experience for our family. My husband and I enjoy country life west of Waco. We also love spending time with our grown children and three beautiful grandchildren. I am looking forward to another great year at Vanguard. Go Vikings!
Hello, my name is Patti Matthews and my wonderful husband is Andy and we have two boys Keeton (Vanguard c/o 2024)) and Karson (2nd grader at Bosqueville Elementary). Although I grew up in Waco, we just moved back to Waco a couple of years ago - a very different but amazing city. We love Vanguard and look forward to a very exciting and interesting 2020-2021 school year. I will be serving on the VPC as the VP of Academic Activities and look forward to meeting more parents this year working with VPC! Go Vikings!
