Yes, even though we are in Southern California it is starting to get cold. I know, it's December here and the temperature is 75 today, and it is sad that many of you in other parts of the U.S. are buried in snow. I am breaking out my electric heated vest and gloves because it does get down into the 50s when I ride at night. There are so many young people that I talk to who do not know about electric heated gear.

When I was with Honda and working with the press, we introduced the 1985 Goldwing Limited Edition by putting together a press ride from Marysville, Ohio to Long Beach, California. The only problem with that plan was that we were to leave the factory in Ohio during the first week of December and the temperature was 4 degrees Fahrenheit!

That day I put on my electric vest, chaps, and gloves, put on my jacket and off we went. Believe it or not I was toasty warm riding in 4-degree weather with my electrics on. It will blow your mind how well they work. Well, we made it to Kentucky where the roads were so iced up, we couldn't go any further. In fact several of us fell over and slid on the off ramp trying to exit the freeway. No injuries or damage but a lot of laughter. We ended up trucking the bikes to Atlanta and then rode the 2,250 miles back to Long Beach in three days, which was 750 miles a day!

Forward to today, 38 years later, and when it is cold and I want to ride, I just plug myself into my motorcycle and off I go. Totally warm and comfortable!

I've said it often, it is the best money you will ever spend that will make you comfortable when riding. And the best part is that electric gear is really not very expensive.

*PLEASE NOTE - THE 20% OFF SERVICE VOUCHER IS GOOD FOR ONE USE ONLY AND IS PER CUSTOMER, NOT PER BIKE.
