Jack has been active with some form of endurance activity for over 20 years now, running almost any race there is.
is first marathon was also his first Ironman in 2011 where he swore he'd never run a solo marathon.
But things changed after Tamara invited him to coach a group for the 2014 Cowtown Marathon. Since then he’s finished
8 marathons and 10 half marathons and many more Triathlon distance events
. Jack says, “I’ve come to enjoy coaching anyone from experienced runners to newcomers, sharing all that I’ve learned from my own experience."
With a career in IT, he is really into training data and reading about the physiological aspects of endurance activities, with focus on hydration, nutrition and heat coping since that's a must here in Texas.
Jack firmly believes in the train-slow-to-get-fast method and always listening to your body to know when to rest and recover.
