We're making a movie!

This summer, JAM will begin production on Valley Transit, our first feature film, made entirely in the Upper Valley, with 80+ crew, cast, interns, volunteers, and more who call this place home. From July 17 to August 16th, look for us shooting on-location at your favorite local establishments!

ABOUT THE FILM

When an elderly man and teenage girl find camaraderie on an Advance Transit bus, the unlikely friendship that sparks leads to a summer seeing the world through each other's eyes, enabling each to mend bonds with loved ones at home and face big life transitions.

A character-driven coming-of-age comedy,Valley Transit captures the places and rituals that connect us across the Upper Valley, from summertime tubing on the White River to the mile-high cones at Fore-U!

NEW FILMMAKING MODEL

As the vehicle for JAM's Summer Feature Film Intensive (SFFI), the production doubles as an educational opportunity for high school and college students to work with a professional crew, on a film bound for theatrical release.

As a nonprofit production, the film and Summer Feature Film Intensive program are made possible by charitable donations from individuals and the Byrne Foundation and in-kind contributions of locations and services from Salt Hill Pub, Advance Transit, Shyrl's Diner, Fore-U, Hartford Parks & Rec, and others.

TIMELINE

Production 7/17 - 8/16, Post-production 8/16 - Winter 2027
