Casa’s Coffee Club for Seniors: Beginner Bocce

Friday, October 17 from 10 to 11:30 am. Free for members, $10 donation for non-members

Join us for a delightful morning of bocce, a sport beloved by Italians of all ages! Whether you’re a seasoned player or new to the game, this instructional event is for all skill levels. Bocce is a leisurely yet engaging game for socialization, friendly competition, and light exercise.

Writing Your Memories Virtual Writing Workshop with author Maria Giura

Generative: Writing Memories of “Nature” on Saturday, Oct. 18 from 10 am to noon via Zoom. $20 Members, $30 Non-Members

This workshop continues the theme of unearthing memories that center around the meanings of the word “nature.” No experience or prior workshops necessary: just notebook, pen, and a desire to record the past.

Monday, Oct. 20

Learn to Hand Stitch

Four Mondays, Oct. 20 - Nov. 10 from 5:30 to 6:45 pm. $135 members, $155 non-members. Learn how to thread a needle and tie a knot; do the running stitch, the back stitch and the invisible stitch; sew on buttons; and make a hem.

Learn to Crochet

Eight Mondays, Oct. 20 - Dec. 15 (no class Nov. 17) from 7 to 8:15 pm. $225 members, $250 non-members. Learn how to hold a crochet hook and the yarn, and the basic crochet stitches, then make something!

Monday, October 20

Adult Italian Classes

Eight Mondays, Oct. 20 – Dec. 8. $275 members, $300 non-members

Beginner Adult - 7 to 8 pm: Full-immersion program to develop communication skills in Italian.

Intermediate Adult - 5:45 to 6:45 pm: For those who completed the first semester of Italian or want to expand their knowledge and skills.

Advanced Adult from 4:30 to 5:30 pm: For those who have completed the second semester of Italian or are eager to take their Italian to the next level.
