This week is Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week! Our PTO committee is showering our teachers and staff with a week of extra treats thanks to your generous donations.
Monday - Breakfast from Corner Bakery
Tuesday - Coffee/drinks/snacks, Hubbard Woods notepad with coffee card
Wednesday - Cookies with the Hubbard Woods raccoon from Lawrence Deans, lunch from Hometown
Thursday - Smoothies from Tropical Smoothie Cafe, teachers' doors will be decorated with student notes/grams.
Friday - Large Hubbard Woods heart donuts from DB3 with fruit and gift cards.
Please consider writing a note of appreciation to your child's teacher, associate and/or supportive staff (i.e. related arts, speech, custodians, administration and more). Our teachers and staff create the wonderful school environment that our children experience daily. They think and prepare for our children well beyond their school hours and support us, as parents, as well.
Let's show them our appreciation!

Green Team Tips
- Stickers/labels are not generally compostable because of the adhesive on them. Remove stickers from all fruit, bags, and other before composting. Or recycle paper bags with stickers.
- The realm of hard plastics that is recyclable is MUCH narrower than we used to think. Focus on recycling BOTTLES, JARS, JUGS, and TUBS. Most other hard plastics, like utensils, straws, sushi boxes, fruit/sandwich clamshells, etc. are not recyclable.
- When in doubt, throw it out! Don’t wishcycle or try to compost anything that is not organic. If you’re not sure where something goes, play it safe, put it in landfill and ask our Green team!
