Item Newsletter, Issue #4, October 3, 2021
What a joy to see everyone having such a great time at our Parent and Staff Party! It was really nice to get together with old friends, meet new people and have a chance to socialize with our amazing staff. We are so grateful to Gina Gooden, Lisa Farrell, Meredith Mazur and their committee for creating such a wonderful opportunity for all of us to celebrate the Hubbard Woods School community. Many thanks to them and everyone who joined the festivities!

There will be many more events throughout the year to come together as a community. The next opportunity is coming up! Please join us for our second annual Hubbard Woods Fall Clean Up on Saturday, October 23. See details below and plan to come anytime that works for your family that day. We look forward to seeing you there!

It's Almost Time to Explore with World Travelers!

Get ready to have some fun learning about Colombia with the Shideler family!

The World Travelers program is a special Hubbard Woods tradition which has taken on various forms over time. Our first World Travelers experience will be the week of October 18. We will not be serving lunches this year but have many special experiences in store! Students will have opportunities at school and through Schoology posts to learn about a particular country for a given week three times throughout the year. Parents will also be provided with optional activities to do at home with your family. Stay tuned for more details on our first "trip" to Colombia!
Crossing Guards Needed!

The Winnetka Public Schools is looking for additional Crossing Guards at key intersections to help our students safely get to and from school. This is a great opportunity for a community member interested in making a positive impact while earning some additional income. The District is looking for applicants who can commit daily as well as those who are interested in daily subbing as needed. Training will be provided in partnership with the Winnetka Police Department.

Please Click here see the job posting on the District's website for additional information.
Picture Retake Day

Picture Retake Day will be Tuesday, October 26 for any children who missed Picture Day or who are unhappy with their original photo.
