Updates on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) at Hubbard Woods!

During the summer of 2022, a group of staff members created a roadmap establishing All-School Expectations and language throughout the 2022-23 school year. This work supports the development of Casel SEL Competencies, addresses many Illinois SEL Standards, and fulfills a portion of requisite social emotional learning instructional minutes. For the month of September and October, all grade levels are working on the expectations: we raise a zero/"0" and turn off our voices for group quiet and we use safe, walking feet to move around. All-School Expectations are part of our proactive efforts to promote a kind, safe, and productive school climate.

Here is a copy of the voice levels posters that are posted throughout our school.

Hubbard Woods School would like to invite parents and caregivers into school for shared learning opportunities. Please click on the link to fill out the survey on shared learning opportunities.
