Item Newsletter, Issue #7
The PTO is excited to host the Hubbard Woods School Book Fair this week! Please join us in our school's library, the Resource Center (RC), on Wednesday 2-8PM or Thursday 8-10AM where you will find a wonderful selection of children's books and gifts. Please consider volunteering to help at the Book Fair (click here). There are both day and evening opportunities, and it's a fun way to meet other parents and offer your support. All funds raised go directly to our Hubbard Woods Resource Center and benefit every student!

As you have likely heard, the 2022 Referendum Downsized Capital Improvement Plan passed on Tuesday. This means that Hubbard Woods School will be getting a new secure entryway, AC throughout the classrooms and a new multi-purpose space, among other improvements! Construction is expected to begin this summer.

While we have a busy week of school ahead, the PTO wishes all of you a Happy Thanksgiving and relaxing week off next week! We are so grateful for our staff and families who make up this special Hubbard Woods School community and we feel fortunate to benefit from such a strong partnership.

News and Notes
The Hubbard Woods Book Fair is THIS WEEK!

The Hubbard Woods Book Fair will be held Wednesday, November 16 and Thursday, November 17. 25% of the sales will come back to the RC- past book fairs have enabled the RC to purchase new books, refreshing the RC collection for all students to check out and enjoy!

Books make great gifts, so plan to cross some holiday shopping off your list at the fair. HW students will have a sneak peek of the fair and will bring their wish lists home for more ideas. HW staff will create wish lists, so consider purchasing a gift for a classroom library.

JOIN US to SHOP TILL YOU DROP Wednesday, November 16 from 2:00PM-8:00PM and Thursday, November 17 from 8:00AM-10:00AM. The after school hours on Wednesday are usually the busiest times, so consider planning to visit later in the day if time is an issue. Thank you in advance for your understanding!

In addition to the Book Fair, we are holding a Book Drive to benefit Bernie's Book Bank. Please consider making room for new books by donating gently used children’s books (birth-6th grade reading level). Bins are located in the school lobby for collection through Friday, November 18.

November All School Expectations

You might remember that in September our HW School expectations were to raise a zero and turn off our voices for group quiet and use safe walking feet to move around. In October, our expectations were to respect our entire school building and keep each other safe. Now in November our school expectations are to keep our spaces neat and clean.
