Item Newsletter, Issue #8, November 28, 2021
We hope everyone had an enjoyable Thanksgiving!

Thank you to the many families who joined us for our annual Hubbard Woods School Book Fair. It was so nice to resume this traditional event in person. If you did not attend or would like to make additional purchases, it's not too late! The fair continues ONLINE! Please click here to shop the book fair and support our Hubbard Woods Resource Center for the rest of the school year.

We'd also like to thank the families who cleared their shelves and donated books from home to Bernie's Book Bank. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate over 500 books! We are continuing this spirit of giving by collecting food items for the Greater Chicago Food Depository over the next three weeks. Please see further details below.

More information will be shared soon about Winter Sing and other festive happenings throughout the coming weeks. Wishing everyone a delightful holiday season!

Registration for incoming kindergarteners and students new to The Winnetka Public Schools in 2022-2023 is now open on the District website and via this link. Children who will be five-years-old on or before September 1, 2022, are eligible to enroll.

Children will not be considered enrolled until both the online and paper portion of registration has been completed and residency documentation is verified. If you have any questions, please contact the District Office at 847-446-9400.
Missing Anything? Check out the Lost and Found!

Please come check the Hubbard Woods lost and found. Any unclaimed items not picked up by Friday, December 17 will be donated. Parents and caregivers can come in anytime during school hours and check the lost and found rack in the front lobby (or remind your student to check).
There's still time to shop the Book Fair!

Thanks to all of those who purchased books at our Book Fair! With your help, we earned over $2000 for our school library(or RC)!

If you missed the fair, you can still shop online and support Hubbard Woods School all year long. Simply shop at, and at checkout, enter Hubbard Woods as the School Name and Winnetka as the School City. 25% of the proceeds of the Book Fair (online and in person) benefit the RC. Past book fair proceeds have been used to purchase new books, and purchase a new printer to help the check-out process in the RC- which benefits all HW students!
Join Another Session of Amazing Minds!

Amazing Minds is offering another session for 1st and 2nd graders at Hubbard Woods! The winter session runs on Thursdays, January 6 - March 24 from 3:15-4:15PM. The registration deadline is December 13. For more information and to register, please check out this flyer.
