Hi there!

Welcome to the Summer Share 2019! We're so excited to have you all along for this share: 22 weeks of delicious, locally-grown food. We have lots of business to get to in this first newsletter-- including the bag contents for your first week!--but we wanted to start off by saying Welcome or Welcome back.

As we begin to celebrate the second decade of Fresh Fork Market, I remind myself that I'm not getting old but rather experienced. My early successes with Fresh Fork Market were guided by persistence, passion, and luck; in this decade I'll take the experiences from the last 10 years to offer the best food delivery service yet.

Today our family of companies - Fresh Fork Market, Wholesome Valley Farm, and Ohio City Provisions - provides an environment where sustainability, health, and culinary talent drive every action. I better understand now more than ever the plight of the small farmer, the challenges we face in protecting traditional and healthy farming practices, and the importance of from scratch cooking.  Our products we offer today are better than ever as we stay committed to pasture-based and organic farming; cooking with whole grains and natural sweeteners; and investing in the team that brings these products to you.

I thank you for joining us this season and for helping to celebrate the second decade of Fresh Fork Market as we connect you with the freshest, healthiest food provisions in Northeast Ohio.

-Trevor and the Fresh Fork Market Team

The third wing of our little family of companies is our Butcher Shop-- Ohio City Provisions-- voted the best butcher shop in the city three years in a row. WELCOME TO SUMMER EMAIL

If you missed the "Welcome to Summer, Fresh Forker!" emails from last week, here are the links for each stop-- there is loads of important information listed in each one, including days, times, addresses for your stop and all of our company policies. Please take a minute to check yours out, even if you're a returning member:
If you're a returning member, please remember to bring your bag along this week. If you're new, you'll get your first bag when you pick up.

Also, your first payment (your upfront payment or your first of the monthly payments) is due by your first pick up . To make a payment, you can:

  • Sign into your account to make a payment with a credit card
  • Call us to charge a CC over the phone, 800-861-8582, 9am-2pm, Mon. - Fri.
  • Mail in a check to 7501 Carnegie Ave, Cleveland 44103. Please write your email address on the memo line
  • Or you bring check or cash with you to your stop (a heads up--we cannot take credit card subscription payments at the stop)

Okay, now that's out of the way-- let's get to the fun stuff. If you know anyone who still wants to sign up, it's not too late! Anyone can join at any point, and if it's after the first week we'll just pro-rate the share for the weeks they'll be a member. We've ordered 50 extra shares for this week , so tell your friends to sign up and claim their share!
SPECIAL ORDERS

Special Orders need to be placed & paid for in full by Tuesday at midnight to come out on this week's routes. Click here for a how-to .

VACATIONS

Vacation Weeks must be registered by Saturday the week before you're taking off-- which means if you are on vacation this week, you had it logged in your account by Saturday June 1st.

If you missed the window, best bet is to send a friend or neighbor to get your bag for you. They can pick it up from any stop that's the most convenient for them-- we just need the name and/or email address on the account. For more information on vacation weeks, click here .
THIS WEEK'S BAG

We've got lots of delicious items coming in your shares this week. At the very bottom of the newsletter are a bunch of recipes to help you prepare your share-- make sure to follow us on Pinterest to see the thousands of recipes we have collected over the years!

And a reminder, just like the weather, our bag contents are subject to change . As of right now, this is what we're planning on having, but stuff happens: issues with weather, harvest, transportation or communication with our Amish farmers can all get in the way of our plans for the week. But don't worry-- if we don't have something we planned on, we'll always have a substitution, and it should be listed on the bag contents sheet displayed at the greeter table.
