Dear Iwaki America Partner,
Today, Governor Baker of Massachusetts ordered that non-essential businesses must close their physical workplaces from noon Tuesday March 24 through Tuesday April 7.
I'm pleased to report that
Iwaki America qualifies as an Essential Business by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and, as such, will remain in operation at our Holliston facilities.
We have received letters from our largest global water treatment customer and one of our largest medical device manufacturing customers citing the importance of Walchem and Iwaki products to their ongoing operations at this time. We have also received an email from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) underscoring the need for ongoing Iwaki Aquatic support of their systems as they ramp up vaccine research. In a call with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts this morning, government officials strongly encouraged us to keep our Holliston facilities open and operating. All of us at Iwaki America are proud of our role in supporting these critical applications; especially now.
