FIRST J-MAIL FOR 2016

It's official - the last holiday party (also known as the Super Bowl - congrats to the Denver Defense on an impressive game) is now behind us. This marks the unofficial transition from the holidays to the Primary Spring Market. Increasing buyer activity is normal in March, April, and early May. This results in more multiple offers and higher prices.

MORE BUYER AND SELLER ACTIVITY

The market is experiencing increasing numbers of buyers and listings. Buyers should try to have offers accepted as early in the period as possible. This will benefit them because prices usually increase through June resulting in appreciation and equity build-up.

Sellers should list homes early so as to take advantage of a lower number of available listings. This usually results in higher achieved prices.

The year 2016 seems to be setting up for a bit more balanced real estate market. Only time will tell.
