Experiential Learning:
Bryan from Valley HS Takes on NASA-funded Project at DRI
Through J4NG’s workforce development program, Bryan was connected with a NASA-funded opportunity at the Desert Research Institute in Las Vegas. He had the chance to work for DRI’s NASA HOLA Stem Kit Project, and through this, met many scientists in the field. He said, “I had a few new experiences, like when I learned how to use a counter radiometer 44-9 (radiation detector). I learned about many jobs, many I had never heard of before.” After the program, he was offered a position to continue working on the stem kits over the next few months.

Way to go, Bryan!
