Educator Newsletter January 2020
The 5th Annual JA JobSpark will take place on September 22-23, 2020 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds
Thank you for participating in
JA JobSpark 2019!
An event of this magnitude is possible because of educator support with student preparation and on-site participation. You made a difference by being part of this experience and we look forward to seeing you at JA JobSpark 2020!

JA JobSpark Celebration and 2020 Kickoff Breakfast

We would like to thank all who joined us on December 17 for the JA JobSpark Celebration and 2020 Kick-Off Breakfast! We had an incredible turnout for the meeting and the clusters are off to a great start after their planning sessions.
Thank you for your commitment to the 10,700 students who will participate in real world, hands-on career experiences at JA JobSpark in September of 2020. It is because of you, that these students will experience career pathways for jobs in demand and the skills needed to have those jobs. Without the support of all of the businesses, education and community leaders, JA JobSpark would not be possible!

Title: President
Company Name: Allied Automation

"JA JobSpark 2019 was Allied Automation’s first participation in the impressive 2-day event held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds for 10,700+ Central Indiana 8 th grade students.  It was an honor and pleasure to serve with them in our collaborate efforts to present and demonstrate career opportunities to young students in the manufacturing sector of our community. It was rewarding for us to observe the students’ excitement and to experience their interest and desire to learn. JA JobSpark gave the students a rare opportunity to open doors to a vast world of ideas and career opportunities that might otherwise not be available to them. We as sponsors and participants also grew from this wonderful experience."

Thank you to Allied Automation for signing on to be a
Silver Sponsor at JA JobSpark 2020!
JA JobSpark and Beyond
We want to know more about your students and how attending JA JobSpark has impacted them!

As we are going into our 5 th year of JA JobSpark, we would love to hear about your students that are in 8 th -11 th grade that attended JA JobSpark and a success story – could be a simple “ah-ha” moment they had, an internship they are in, an after school job they got, a post-secondary decision they made, a connection in the classroom, etc. We would like to feature your student’s story in an upcoming newsletter. If you have a student success story to share, please complete the brief form so we can gather the information, or please send this form to your principal, administrators, or fellow educators teaching at the high school level who may have had students participate in the past.  We will reach out to you with any questions.

Thank you, Ella!
It has been a pleasure having Ella as an intern at Junior Achievement these past few weeks. She is responsible for the new design of this newsletter! We will miss her and wish her the best of luck as she heads back to college at DePauw University. She was a tremendous help and made a huge difference on our team!
