Missions Spotlight

Good News Club @ West End Elementary
We have been given a marvelous opportunity at West End Elementary School to minister to 1st through 5th grade young boys and girls. Good News Club is an afterschool Gospel based Christian ministry that enables us to share the love of God and His message of salvation. As we see current events and the day of our Lord’s return coming closer, the urgency to reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ is near and dear to my heart. I’m reminded of what the Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy saying, “Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (2nd Timothy 2:1&2) We are so blessed to have a church to attend with a pastor who is faithful in preaching the Word of God. However, this is not our blessing to keep. Many of these children have no access to a good Bible believing church with people who love them enough to tell them about Jesus. This is your opportunity to obey God and help us reach the children of the Jones Avenue community with the Gospel. Remember that the Gospel of Jesus “will not return void,” and we have no idea how our faithfulness can and will affect the families of so many children. We will be hosting Good News Club on Monday afternoons from 2:20-3:50. The first meeting will be on September 12th following the Labor Day Holiday. Please consider volunteering for this ministry. Imagine what a wonderful feeling of joy you could receive watching just one child come to an understanding of how Jesus died, was buried, and rose again for THEM. Glory to God and His Name be praised. Don’t miss out on this. If you are willing to serve, we have a great need. Everyone can do something in this ministry. Please don’t feel like you are not qualified. “God doesn’t call the qualified, He qualifies the called."
