Our Celebration of Love!
Dear Friends,
It is the time of year when
love is celebrated everywhere. It is a time when we express our feelings to friends, family, and those we chose to share a lifetime with through cards, gifts, and in many other special ways.
It is not at just this time of year, but always, we are celebrating
love at VTR. The
love we see between a Resource Family and a foster child. These parents often help children and biological families through a reunification process. Sometimes these Resource Parents decide to adopt their foster child and provide them a forever home.
At The Ranch, youth live in a house and form relationships with our staff--an environment filled with
love and dedication to the boys in their healing and personal growth. So many times I have seen and heard the comments from the youth who live there-- that they receive respect, care and given the help, they need to make better choices in life. In fact, we often hear back from them years later to let us know that their stay at the ranch and the staff made a difference in their lives.
Recently Robert Williams posted on Facebook (
who was at the ranch approximately 25 years ago),
“I am alive today and have a family with children and grandchildren, because of you. Thank you for seeing something in me when no one else could.”
Our Transitional Living Home is for young adults. These young men learn to live and thrive on their own. The staff nurtures the relationship and through
loving care, helps these young men get on their feet to forge a new path and direction in life.
Our dreams, our hope, and the
love we have for each child, youth, young adult and family member, depend on you, as our partner. You help all of us succeed in the special care and services we provide.
