Dear Partners,
I have the deepest gratitude for the best chamber partners & friends out there. So many of you have shown amazing support for my family and myself as we have had to say goodbye to a husband, a father, a Pa and a friend. Every phone call, text, email and letter received brought hope and a reminder of the many wonderful people who surround me.
That being said, I also want to offer my appreciation and thankfulness for everyone who partnered with the Elkhorn Chamber to create a 'Tis the Season' holiday for our entire community to enjoy. From the Tree Lighting & Parade to the celebration at our Annual Holiday Party and all the way through the season ending with our Community Christmas Meal, I thank you. Whether you partnered with a sponsorship or by volunteering or by enjoying the season with friends and family, all of you have made our special Christmas Card Town called Elkhorn a joyful place to be.
As I look to the New Year, I know I will be met with challenges and victories. My husband, Rick Clapper, taught me many lessons throughout his lifetime. His final lesson was to appreciate all that I have and to share in the joy and wonder that each day brings. I look forward to sharing that same joy with you in 2020.
We live in a world in which we need to share responsibility.
It's easy to say "It's not my child, not my community, not my world, not my problem."
Then there are those who see the need and respond. I consider those people my heroes.

Thank you all for being heroes in our community. I look to the New Year with great anticipation for what we will accomplish together.
Peace and a Happy New Year to All!
Chris Clapper
