Find a craft and poster/coloring for each lesson:

CHILDREN’S LESSON ACTIVITY. I LOVE BABY JESUS movable-manger scene. Children can post this stable with the star background in a file folder and move pieces around to tell the story of Jesus’ birth. Play act the night Jesus was born by creating a manger scene with Mary and Joseph, baby Jesus, shepherds with the sheep, wise men and their gifts, and cattle.

I’M THANKFUL FOR JESUS’S BIRTH poster or coloring page. Children feel love for babies and especially this baby cuddled in a blanket lying in a manger bed. The HOME ACTIVITY helps them discuss with family that special night when Jesus was born and the gifts given Him.

SINGING TIME. “AWAY IN A MANGER” song visuals. Youth can know that when Jesus arrived in Bethlehem there was “no crib for a bed.” Where was “the little Lord Jesus” to lay down “His sweet head”? The song tells us we want Jesus to be “close by me forever, and love me, I pray; Bless all the dear children in Thy tender care, And fit us for Heaven to live with Thee there.”
