Hi Friends!

New year, new beginnings! It's the perfect time to learn a new skill by taking a dance class or attending a beginner lesson at a social dance. Or join us again for a Glen Echo Park dance that you love, but haven't been able to make time for. Whether you've been on the dance floor every week or you're trying out social dance for the first time, we're excited to welcome you to a dance in 2026!

It's time to Do-Si-Do into Sunday afternoons, because Bumper Car Squares dances are now on the first Sunday of the month. Join us this weekend for our first Bumper Car Squares of 2026, on Sunday, January 4 in the Ballroom Back Room. Kim Forry calls to live music by Strings on Wings.

Calling all swing dancers! Saturday, January 17, the Partnership welcomes the Daryl Davis Band for a swing dance spectacular in the Spanish Ballroom. Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with the incomparable Dr. Daryl Davis, an international recording artist who has performed and toured all 50 States and around the world. He has performed extensively with Chuck Berry, The Legendary Blues Band (formerly The Muddy Waters Blues Band), Elvis Presley’s Jordanaires, and many others. A special Dual Dance Ticket lets you attend both the Swing Dance with the Daryl Davis Band on 1/17 and a Swing Dance with The Grandsons on 2/7 at a discount!

Co-presented with EducArte, Sarau de Samba, a monthly celebration of Afro-Brazilian culture continues in the Ballroom Back Room in 2026. Each session starts with a beginner dance lesson and is open to people of any skill level, no partner or instruments required. Join the celebration at the next Sarau de Samba on Sunday, January 18!

Saturday, January 24 brings our final Bachata y más dance to the Ballroom Back Room. Dance the night away to music by DJ Sensual Soundz. And get ready for Salsa & Bachata y más!, our brand new monthly series combining Back Room Salsa Nights and Bachata y más into one dance! On the third Friday of the month, come experience sizzling hot Salsa and the magic of all styles of Bachata in this special night of Latin Dance starting up in February.

In addition to our fabulous social dance events, Glen Echo Park also hosts social dance classes in a variety of styles at various levels. Browse the Mindful Movement & Dance Technique section of the catalog to find classes that introduce you to new styles or improve your technique in styles you already love.

We are so pleased to announce a NEW dance class at the Park. In collaboration with Dance for PD® (Parkinson's Disease), the Partnership will present a pilot Dance for PD® class series, meeting Wednesday afternoons in Arcade Building Classrooms 202 & 203. These classes are free for participants, care partners, and family members thanks to the generous support of pilot program donors. Weekly classes begin on January 7. Sign up is encouraged, but walk-ins are also accepted.

DanceFit: Line Dancing starts up Saturday, January 3. This fun, weekend workout teaches the basics of line dancing. Plus, it's flexible! Drop-in to any of our Saturday morning workouts at the door, pre-register in advance to grab the early bird discount, or try the 10-class package!
