This month begins the new year, 2020. The term 20/20 is used by optometrists to describe someone who has excellent vision—they see clearly at twenty feet what you are supposed to see at twenty feet. This year, I ask you to pray with me that we will have 2020 Vision at National Heights. Pray that God will guide us to 2020 Vision to know His will for our church. Pray that God will give each of us 2020 Vision to know steps we can take to grow in our own walk with Christ. Pray that God will give NHBC 2020 Vision to grow our ministries to reach Springfield for Christ. As we begin the year 2020, pray that God will give NHBC 2020 Vision for His plan and His purpose.
I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through you!

Angel Tree Christmas Ministry 2019
Thank you to everyone who was a part of Angel Tree Christmas Ministry 2019. We had a great season. Whether you purchased a sewing kit or a Paw Patrol fire truck, a warm hoodie or shopped so well you could get two pair of leggings, served on a team to wrap the gifts, checked in gifts as they were returned to the church, worked the Tag Table, or baked homemade cookies for each family, you did so as God led you all the way.
It was exciting to see God working through each of you who took part in providing 30 needed clothing gifts & 30 fun interest gifts for each of our Angel Tree Children. We touched each child with a Bible or Bible storybook at their own reading level through your giving to the Angel Tree Bible Fund. Plus, three caregivers received a desired copy, who had never had a Bible and humbly asked for one. Pray for them as they search the pages for the love of God, that understanding will come to their hearts and minds, and that they will seek a church family to call home to grow in their understanding and faith in God. Remember the children and their family units in prayer all year!
Once again we have worked together as a church to show God’s love to our hurting neighbors. Lives are being transformed by a simple gift.

WOMEN ON MISSION STUDY ROHINGYA REFUGEES
TUESDAY, JANUARY 14 @ 9:30
International Mission Study: Rohingya Refugees - Named “the most persecuted people in the world” by the United Nations, more than 723,000 Rohingya have fled to Bangladesh. Through this study we will discover how to pray specifically for refugees, be introduced to the Christian organizations who are working as the hands and feet of Christ, learn ways you can personally help refugees and be inspired to give through the Lottie Moon offering. The study will be led by Delores Thompson.
The business and reporting session of the morning will begin at 9:30. This will be followed by an informal coffee/snack/chat time. Mildred Burns and Lois Wood are the hostesses for this meeting. Men and women of the church are invited to come, learn and enjoy.
