GSA Announces Changes to Notarized Letter Process
Lenora Leasure
PTAC Program Manager

The General Services Administration (GSA), in a continual effort to address the fraudulent activity in the System for Award Management (SAM), is making changes to the notarized letter requirement as well as the login procedure. Effective June 29, 2018, entities will no longer need to have an approved Entity Administrator notarized letter on file before registrations are active. Instead, the letter must be mailed to the Federal Service Help Desk within 30 days of activation or the entity will be deactivated. Instructions for the notarized letter and a template can be found here .

Also effective June 29, 2018, will be a new SAM login procedure. Current SAM usernames and passwords will no longer work and you will need to create an account at login.gov to implement a multi-factor authentication login. Users will need to know the email address associated with your current SAM login in order to have the system automatically migrate all your roles over to the new login. Users will also need access to that email address and a working phone to set-up the Login.gov account. Please click here for more information on these changes.

Please contact us with any questions or for any of your government contracting assistance needs at (814) 254-4022 or (814) 254-4023 or via email at jariptac@jari.com .
