JARI and its Affiliates - Highlights of 45 Years:
The Future
We hope you've enjoyed this look back at JARI's history. We would like to complete this feature with a look to the future. JARI continues to carry on the vision of its founders with:

• Innovative financing to help businesses grow and succeed
• Workforce initiatives that enable residents to train for the in-demand occupations identified by
employers
• Attraction of foreign investment to the region
• Engagement in new, small and large businesses
• Partnerships and collaboration with leaders at the local, state and federal levels, educational
institutions and businesses

Of course, none of this would be possible without the continuing support of our stakeholders, partners and boards of directors. We thank each of you, and look forward to a strong future for our region!
JARI Hosts International DCED Representatives
Linda Thomson
President
On Tuesday, August 8, JARI hosted international members of the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) so that they could understand more about our region and the capabilities of our local companies in order to help attract foreign investment directly or through supply chain oppourtunies.

The day included a tour of the Center for Metal Arts and a visit to JWF Industries. It concluded with lunch at Asiago's Tuscan Italian at the top of the Johnstown Inclined Plane. Senator Wayne Langerholc, Mayor Frank Janakovic, and Dave Zucco, Vice President of Kongsberg Protech Systems, spoke to the group during lunch.

JARI would like to thank Senator Wayne Langerholc, Jr., Mayor Frank Janakovic, the Cambria County Commissioners, Kongsberg Protech Systems, the Center for Metal Arts and JWF Industries for their support. We appreciate the DCED representatives meeting with us and look forward to future collaboration.
