November 2026 Issue

From the Chair....

It's November and the official holiday season has begun. How do I know? Just visit any retailer like Walmart or Home Depot and you'll see holiday decorations are going up and going out fast. I am thankful for our members and their support of all our efforts, from NLC Scholarships to the work being done on the JA History Museum. We're gaining new members and our fund campaign is getting ready to launch. 'Tis the season!

As always, visit our website for more information or our social media posts on Facebook or LinkedIn for breaking news. And check out our YouTube channel. That too is growing with new video interviews and more.

JASAN CAMPAIGN 2026-27:

PAYING IT FORWARD/SHARING OUR GRATITUDE!

Memories...

We all have great memories of our time as active JA Staff Members. The students we served, the volunteers we encountered, the associates who became life-long friends - and the camaraderie that made every interaction so meaningful. As we kick off the "26-27 Paying it Forward Campaign," let me say thanks for considering the impact your investment will allow us to achieve.

Watch for a personal request for support coming soon - and even if you would like to pay your pledge later in the fiscal year, just let us know of your intended investment at your earliest opportunity.

  • Completion of the challenge grant that the Achievement Foundation generously made which will allow 30 local staff people to attend the National Leadership Conference this coming June to become better prepared to implement the ever-changing array of JA experiences.
  • Support for JASAN's operating needs - funding we carefully utilize to strengthen our efforts and provide benefit to the entire JA organization.

I will soon be sending a note asking for your participation reaching our $30,000 combined scholarship/operating goal. Are you an ongoing giver? I will ask for your renewed gift (and maybe a bit more?!) Are you a first-time investor? Please remember that a gift of any size allows us to achieve more. In either case, a one-time payment or monthly installments are fine - whatever is easiest for you. Also, you decide where you would like your gift to be utilized - scholarships, operating, or both! I'll provide more details in the upcoming letter.

As nonprofit leaders who understand the importance of contributions, accept my sincere thanks in advance!

JASAN Holiday Party - Save the Date

Mark your calendars for our Virtual Holiday Party on Thursday, December 17th at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EST. We’ll give you an update but most importantly we'll give you an opportunity to catch up with your colleagues and friends. And it’s BYOB.

Contribute to the JA Virtual History Museum

The JA History Museum is now open! Thanks to work by our colleagues at JA USA (Hannah Henry and Robert Berndt) we have launched the virtual museum. Soon we will be reaching out to members for ideas and how to share additional photographs and memorabilia from our history.

Help Us Grow Our Membership!

The strength of Junior Achievement has always been its people and we want to make sure our JA alumni network continues to grow!

The Membership Committee is looking for your help in identifying individuals who would be great additions to our group. Do you know former Junior Achievement colleagues, recent retirees, or team members who have recently left a JA office anywhere across the country? We want to stay connected!

We would also love to hear your suggestions on how to expand our membership, reconnect with former colleagues, and make our alumni network even stronger.

Who comes to mind? Please share names, contact information (if available), or simply reach out with your recommendations. Whether someone spent 5 years (minimum for membership) or 30 years with Junior Achievement...their experience, friendships, and contributions are worth celebrating and keeping connected.

Let's continue building a network that keeps the JA spirit alive long after our careers with Junior Achievement!

Thank YOU for helping us grow!
