JCC YOUTH PROGRAMS

JCC YOUTH PROGRAMS RETURN IN THE FALL

The JCC is proud to offer seasonal programs for youth and families! Most programs are FREE for JCC members (a select few have fees). Fees for guests vary by class, but get a better value by joining the JCC! Attend week to week or for the entire season! No pressure, your choice! All families will need to check in at our front desk upon arrival. Our youth programs have concluded until the fall. Please check back in August for our list of fall programs!

ADULT & FAMILY PROGRAMS:

PROGRAM THAT ADDRESSES THE UNIQUENESS OF EACH PERSON’S CAPABILITY

 All participants must have a signed physician's release form to register. The cost of the program is $125 per eight week session of up to 24 classes per session. Contact Vince Kalinoski, JCC Program Director, at vkal3@scrantonjcc.org or ext.115 for registration.


Stay healthy & fit and keep your workout routine going with your favorite JCC classes and instructors! Members have the option to attend classes in-person at the JCC or take virtual classes at home!

The JCC offers a karate program for families in partnership with RYU PA Karate. Tuition discounts are offered to JCC members. Registration is handled by RYU PA Karate. All classes are held in the JCC auditorium.

IN THE COMMUNITY...

Lackawanna County’s Area Agency on Aging will distribute vouchers with which income-eligible county residents 60 or older may purchase fresh foods at farmer's markets.


Anyone 60 or older by Dec. 31 of this year may obtain vouchers if their annual household income is at or below the following levels: one person, $29,526; two people, $40,034; three people, $50,542; four people, $61,050.


Each eligible person will receive five $5 checks for a total benefit of $25.

Anyone seeking vouchers must appear in person and bring valid identification. If an eligible senior cannot attend, a proxy may do so. Proxy forms are available here, at LackawannaAging.org, or the county Area Agency on Aging, Lackawanna County Government Center, 123 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, 570-963-6740, also will mail them upon request. A proxy may pick up vouchers for up to four people.


The distribution schedule will take place from 9 a.m. to noon. Distributions will end before designated time if allotted voucher supply has been exhausted.
