ANNOUNCING HOLIDAY SHOP LOCATION!!!

YES!
SHOP LOCATION IS SECURED

Former TOYS R US Building
11620 West 95th St.
Overland Park, KS
Dec. 3-11, 2021

This is what we work for all year long, but we CANNOT do it without you!

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS

Volunteering at the Holiday SHOP allows you to help our low-income neighbors on a one-to-one basis - such an important, fun and fulfilling experience.

Due to COVID several of our larger volunteer groups will not be able to participate this year, so we still have a LOT of volunteer shifts open.

PLEASE SIGN UP TODAY
A few notes about this year's SHOP:

  • We plan to run a traditional SHOP with a few COVID-related precautions.
  • We are only allowed to park on the east side of the building. Please help us by following the appropriate parking signage.
  • Please do NOT visit or bring donations to the Toys R Us location before November 17th.

For more information please visit https://jccb.org.events.
Thank you to all who attended, volunteered and participated virtually!
BUT...HOW DO WE DO IT?
Much of the merchandise we offer at the Holiday SHOP is donated to JCCB throughout the year. Without those donations we would not be able to open the SHOP to nearly as many of our lower income neighbors. We cannot discount the importance of those donated items.

However, donated items do not pay for the shop location, storage facilities, operational expenses, etc. Our largest annual fundraiser, Holiday of HOPE, is held each fall, with the proceeds contributing directly to our Holiday SHOP expenses. Our theme this year was BACK TO THE 60s and the event was a great success!

JCCB CLIENT COMMENTS

The Holiday SHOP definitely helps because it allows us parents who are struggling to at least give our kids something and allows us to have food on the table and share the holidays as a family.
