Congrats to JCHS Students Honored with AP Scholar Awards
Twenty-two students at Jefferson City High School have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievements on AP Exams. The College Boards's Advanced Placement Program provides willing and academically prepared students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school.

In Case You Missed It: JCPS Kindergarten Teacher Receives Grant to Promote Literacy
Ashley Angle, a kindergarten teacher at Pioneer Trail Elementary, was recently awarded a $500 grant from the Missouri Retired Teachers Association to support her classroom's literacy activities. The money "will support literacy activities to be used during the guided reading block and allow structured practice of skills essential to becoming a fluent reader."

Difference makers are those who go above and beyond to serve our students, staff and schools. We need your help in identifying those individuals, teams or groups who have made a difference in our district.  Please share your Difference Maker's story here .

B.U.P.D. the Jays Football Way
Be sure to check out this video of Coach Terry Walker and the Jays football team taking the Buckle Up Phone Down (B.U.P.D.) challenge. All Jays fans are encouraged to take the challenge. The football team challenged teams from Helias, Rock Bridge and Blair Oaks to do the same. #JCStrongerTogether #JayPride

We are under construction at Jefferson City High School and would like to thank you for your patience this year as renovations continue! Plans have been carefully crafted and laid out to ensure we provide a positive, safe school environment for our students, teachers and staff.

JCMOMA Art Contest for Grades 9-12 Students
Jefferson City Museum of Modern Art is sponsoring an Art Contest for all Jefferson City Area 9 - 12th Grade Students. Students may submit their original art with the theme "Bring Us Together" electronically between September 1 and September 22 through the  website . Finalists' artwork will be displayed at JCMOMA for a special exhibit and will be considered for top prizes. 1st Place $500, 5 Honorable Mentions will receive $100

Mark Your Calendars for the 2018 Annual JCPS Foundation Gala
The annual JCPS Foundation Gala will be held on September 25, 2018 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel Ballroom in Jefferson City. The gala is an annual event to celebrate public education and induct special friends of the Foundation and school district into the Foundation's Hall of Leaders program. Kelly Services Now Hiring Substitutes
During the month of  August,  every  Giving Bag  sold at the Jefferson City Schnucks store will generate a $1 donation to support Capital City Diaper Bank, which also benefits many of our Southwest Early Childhood Center families.

Schnucks Giving Bags can be found on the dedicated reusable bag rack.
