"In the same way, LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year!
We know there is still summer fun to be had before we are truly 'back,' but wanted to send a warm welcome to our new JCS families by sending an early 'JCS Weekly News.'

In this weekly newsletter (sent out each Wednesday morning in the school year), you will find schedule reminders, all school announcements, links to important forms or fliers (clickable links are highlighted in blue), notes from the office, busing staff, or parent club, athletics information and schedules, and other general information.

We include ways you can support JCS with your every day activities. As good stewards we want to be mindful of ways we can support Christian education at JCS apart from giving financial gifts.

We also include community announcements for other local churches, schools, and individuals that provide opportunities for JCS students and their families.

While many of these reminders may seem redundant, it's helpful to read the JCS News each week so you are 'in the know' for what's happening at the school. Even if an event doesn't affect you or your student directly, we can be in prayer for each other when we know what activities others may be preparing for!

Sometime this week you have, or will be receiving a welcome email and/or letter from your child's PreK-8th grade teacher. Be sure to check your email (or junk mail) to make sure you're receiving communication from school. Aside from your child's teacher email, a few important emails have been sent out in the last week with key details on the JCS plan, and a message from our Parent Club. More important information will be coming in the next couple of weeks as we near our start date.

  • Thank you to those who ordered TRIP over the summer. Our last curbside pick up will be next week Wednesday evening from 6:30-7 and Thursday morning from 9-9:30. Ordering for next week is closed. More information on TRIP ordering for the Fall will be coming soon.

  • The school supply list can be found on our website. The supply page has notes for preschool-8th grade. If your student is coming for their PK-5th student/teacher session on August 24 or 25, they may bring their supplies then.

  • JCS Office Hours: The office is open Monday-Friday, 9-3. When school begins the office will resume normal hours, 7:30 AM - 4 PM.

  • Parents of Pre-K and Kindergarten students: there are several forms that need to be turned in to the office before your child starts school in less than 2 weeks (Copy of Birth Certificate, Concussion Form, Green Health Form, Hearing & Vision Screening Form). Please try to get these forms turned in to the office as soon as possible. Thank you!

  • There is NO JPS Busing on the first day of school, August 26 for the noon dismissal (The morning JPS route will still run). JCS routes will run as scheduled. There are a few other dates in the school year that JPS will not provide busing for both their morning and afternoon routes: October 30, February 11, 12, and 15, and March 12. JPS will not offer busing on our last day of school, June 3, for the afternoon route.
