  • Coach Needed - We are still in need of a 7th grade girls basketball coach. If you would be interested or know of someone who may be interested, please contact Craig Flietstra at cflietstra@jenisonchristian.org.

  • Reporting Student Absence - If your student is ill or if there is a planned absence for vacation, etc., PLEASE notify Sandy in the school office by calling the absentee line at 457-3307 or email her at sbrower@jenisonchristian.org. Each morning teachers submit the attendance for their class, then we have to account for each student and why they are absent. If you have not reported the absence, then phone calls need to be made to locate your child. Notifying the teacher is great, however they don't always have time to check email or seesaw before attendance gets turned in, so it is very important to notify Sandy as well. When leaving/sending a message, be sure to include the students name, homeroom teacher, reason for absence, and if sick, the symptoms they are having. Thank you for your help!

  • Paper Gator - Yes, it is still here! Some have questioned whether or not we still have the paper gator! It was moved just down from where it was to the far northeast of the parking lot area. This allows the room needed for the new drive loop. It may be a bit difficult to see at first glance due to the large snow pile!

  • There is NO deadline for placing orders. These lists will stay active throughout the school year and teachers will add to them as needs come up.   • Tuition Assistance for 2021-2022 School Year: We are so grateful for the Jenison Christian Education Foundation, REVIVE Re-store, the JCS Parent Club, many of our local churches, and individuals who annually support Jenison Christian School financially and/or through volunteer time to assist in keeping tuition affordable. If tuition costs for JCS are unaffordable for your family, we invite you to apply for tuition assistance through the JCS tuition assistance program. For the upcoming 2021-2022 school year, JCS will again participate in the online FACTS tuition assistance application program. All parents or guardians requesting tuition assistance through JCS are required to complete an application using the FACTS program to receive JCS tuition assistance. Our first priority regarding tuition assistance will be for families enrolled in full day programming at JCS. The first round deadline for FACTS filing is March 31, 2021. Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (T.R.I.P.)
Curbside TRIP is moving inside.  TRIP will be available for pick up inside by the office door. There can only be two people inside picking up at the same time. Please form a line outside until you can safely enter. Please remember to social distance and wear a mask. 

As before, all orders MUST be preordered. TRIP has dwindled down its inventory and gift cards are now being ordered on an as needed basis. Pick ups will be offered ONLY on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:00 PM as volunteers and parents are not able to be in the school building during school hours. 


Order dates for March are are follows:

Order by Tuesday, March 2 and pick up on Wednesday, March 10,
Order by Tuesday, March 23 and pick up on Wednesday, March 31.

If you have an online TRIP account, we would encourage you to order your TRIP cards via the online ordering system. You can pay for your order via PrestoPay, with your credit card or with a check at pick up. Online ordering has a huge selection of businesses and denominations. If you don’t have an online TRIP account, please email your order to JCS Trip at trip@jenisonchristian.org and your money will be collected when you pick up your order.  As a reminder, we will NOT be able to fulfill any orders at pick up. ALL ORDERS ARE PREORDERED.

Unity Summer Sports Camp Schedule -- Unity Christian will be sponsoring many sports camps this summer for students age 3 to 12th grade. The current camp schedule is available at this link or at unitychristianathletics.org under the "Camps and Clinics" tab. Online registration for Unity summer sports camps will begin on Tuesday, April 13. We look forward to having your students join us this summer!
