PRE-K & KINDERGARTEN SCREENING |

As we look to the 2021-2022 school year, we want to continue to partner with you in teaching your child to love, learn, and lead! If your child is entering Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten, we will begin our enrollment process the week of January 25 with "Kindergarten Screening." If you have a child coming into Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten, please sign up by clicking the link below to set up a screening time for your child. Screening is Friday, January 29 from 9:00AM-3:00PM or Saturday, January 30 from 9:30AM-12:30PM. The appointments last approximately 15 minutes with cleaning in between. Your next enrollment steps will be given to you at the screening appointment.

Open Enrollment Now Available For Preschool!
We are now accepting open enrollment for our 3 & 4 year old preschool programs! Please use the link below to fill out the necessary forms. The enrollment fee is $75 and is due within two weeks of signing up in order to secure your spot. Enroll before February 14 and you will receive a $100 discount on your preschool tuition!

Our spelling bee took on a new format this year due to the pandemic. This experience, like many others, became a virtual event. On January 11, qualifying students gathered in our school library on their computers to participate.
Congratulations to Caroline Howard (6th grade), who was the winner, and to Taylor VandenBerg (7th grade), who was the runner-up. They will be representing JCS in the Ottawa area regional spelling bee. Thank you to all who participated! We have some excellent spellers, as it was a close competition with four participants tying for third place with a score of 21 of 25.

There is NO deadline for placing orders. These lists will stay active throughout the school year and teachers will add to them as needs come up. Lunch Program Option for 1/2 Day - Do you need a cold-lunch take-home option for the half-day of school ahead on January 29? As part of our hot lunch program with the free offering through the USDA this school year we are able to provide that for you, if you provide us with an advanced request. If you would like us to send your child home with a sack-lunch on those days, please email Penny Thatcher at [email protected] and let her know you'd like this option.

Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (T.R.I.P.) |

Curbside TRIP is moving inside. TRIP will be available for pick up inside by the office door. There can only be two people inside picking up at the same time. Please form a line outside until you can safely enter. Please remember to social distance and wear a mask.
As before, all orders MUST be preordered. TRIP has dwindled down its inventory and gift cards are now being ordered on an as needed basis. Pick ups will be offered ONLY on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:00 PM as volunteers and parents are not able to be in the school building during school hours.

If you have an online TRIP account, we would encourage you to order your TRIP cards via the online ordering system. You can pay for your order via PrestoPay, with your credit card or with a check at pick up. Online ordering has a huge selection of businesses and denominations. If you don’t have an online TRIP account, please email your order to JCS Trip at [email protected] and your money will be collected when you pick up your order. As a reminder, we will NOT be able to fulfill any orders at pick up. ALL ORDERS ARE PREORDERED.

Half Day Busing: There will be AM and NOON busing for the JCS Eagle, JCS Deer and JPS Rabbit buses on our scheduled half-day January 29.
There will be NO AM and PM JPS Rabbit Bus on February 11, 12, 15 and March 12.
