There are just a few spaces left in JEDC's summer STEM programs. Our camps engage kids in healthy and active interaction with technology. Our summer camps all involve building and programming robots with fun activities throughout the day that help campers make friends, build teamwork and communication skills, think through problems critically, and keep kids moving throughout the day. Camps are held at Thunder Mountain High School from 9 AM - 4 PM. Registration is $275 with financial aid available.

JEDC and TBMP partner to host
Community Workshop on Tourism Growth
To promote community understanding and dialogue, JEDC and Tourism Best Management Practices (TBMP) hosted a public forum titled
Tourism Growth and Juneau
on April 23. Approximately 135 attendees heard from industry, CBJ and state agencies on activities currently underway to manage the impact of Juneau's increased tourism volume. Participants then had the opportunity to choose one of nine topics and sit down with experts to ask questions, provide feedback on what more can be done, and explore opportunities and strategies to ensure that tourism growth is positive for Juneau. Breakout topics included electrification of docks, air and water quality, downtown circulation, land based and marine based impacts, entrepreneurial opportunities, winter tourism and "What have we missed?". The Visitor Products Cluster Working Group will be reviewing the community inputs and prioritizing action on the more achievable, important, or urgent priorities.
