Cornhole (bean-bag toss) Tournament in Downtown! 
 
A strong economy needs a strong downtown. Support the Capital City's downtown by coming to the Southeast Alaska Cornhole Fundraiser! This is a fundraiser for the Downtown Business Association to continue its downtown revitalization efforts. There will be c ash prizes for top placing teams. Winner takes home $1,000! Bags will fly rain or shine on Saturday, June 30th at Cope Park in Downtown Juneau from 12 PM - 6 PM. 

Teams are two people. Must be 21+. Registration is $40 per person and includes a drink ticket. Space is limited, so register ASAP via the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council (JAHC) Box Office!

The SEAK Cornhole Tournament will also have music, food, a beer garden, and tons of fun! Cope Park has seen a lot of improvements in the past year, so stop by even if you just want to spectate!



Join us: Make Up the Makerspace!


Come help get the new  Juneau MakerSpace  ready for action! This great community resource is moving into a HUGE new space that will include a new event venue and we need help getting it ready! Volunteer tasks will include painting, cleaning, organizing, and a bit of heavy lifting. Burgers and beer will be provided! Please RSVP HERE.

Entertain and educate your kids during the summer hours by signing them up for our STEM summer camps. Your kids will experience the hardest fun they've ever had! Summer of Heroes 

Summer of Heroes is a partnership program between Alaska Communications and Boys & Girls Clubs - Alaska, promoting education, awareness, and support for youth development programs throughout the state. 

Running from May through September 2018, Summer of Heroes includes two main components - a youth recognition and scholarship award, and a cause-related sales promotion. 

You can play a part in helping Alaska youth. During the Summer of Heroes 2018, Alaska Communications will contribute $25 to Boys & Girls Clubs - Alaska for every new Unlimited Internet or Business Internet sign up between May 1 and July 20, 2018, up to $15,000 total. 

Do you know a young local hero in your Alaska community? Help us recognize those who give back by nominating them as a hero HERE.
