CBJ Open House: Huna Totem

Join Huna Totem Lease Open House Meetings on

January 22 & 23

The community is invited to join CBJ at two open house meetings to discuss a proposed Huna Totem tidelands lease. The meetings will take place in the Assembly Chambers on Wednesday, January 22, from 4 PM – 7 PM and on Thursday, January 23, from 11 AM – 2 PM.

Members of the community are encouraged to stop by at any time during meeting hours to discuss the lease and share their thoughts with CBJ.

Huna Totem Corporation is proposing to develop a cruise ship dock and mixed-use development in downtown Juneau on the lot traditionally known as the “subport,” near Egan Drive and Whittier Street. The meetings will solicit input on elements of a proposed lease for the adjacent tidelands. The CBJ Assembly will eventually vote to approve or deny this lease, and that vote will be CBJ’s ultimate approval or denial of the proposed development.

The open house meetings will focus on sharing information about the proposal and soliciting ideas from the public on how the development, if approved, could support community needs.

The public is welcome to share additional feedback with the Assembly via email at borough.assembly@juneau.gov.
