| |
The State Committee on Research (SCoR) created the Alaska Innovators Hall of Fame in 2014 to celebrate and honor outstanding individuals and inventions that put Alaska on the map as leaders in innovation and to contribute to Alaska’s growing culture of ingenuity.
SCoR invites nominations of outstanding innovators or innovations from Alaskan communities and villages who have made achievements which have impacted quality of life, economic development, the environment, and/or the welfare of the people of Alaska and the globe. SCoR and the University of Alaska are committed to establishing equal educational opportunity and encourage nominations of minority and underrepresented individuals. Nominees who are selected by SCoR will be members of the class of 2023 and will be inducted at the Innovation Summit held in Juneau on March 15-16, 2023.

University of Alaska Southeast
| |
The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) is a regional university serving all of Southeast Alaska through campuses in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Sitka. Each campus serves its own community and also contributes meaningfully to our regional university. Our foremost goal at UAS is student learning and student success. We pride ourselves on offering programs of high academic quality—both on campus and online—that meet the needs of students and the communities we serve.
UAS programs take full advantage of the majesty of beautiful Southeast Alaska, which includes the famed Inside Passage—a majestic array of islands, channels, and fjords abutting coastal mountains, icefields, and glaciers. Students have opportunities for field study and research in the Tongass National Forest, in intertidal marine environments, and on nearby icefields. Our Juneau Campus is located in Alaska’s capital city, which provides opportunities for student internships in Alaska’s legislature.
