Grows to $100 Million Assets Under Management
in FY2021
The Jewish Endowment Foundation of Louisiana (JEF) was established in 1967 with modest assets of $100,000. Today, over six decades later, we are thrilled to announce that JEF’s total assets under management have grown to a record level in excess of $100 million!*
Despite concerns of COVID and the annual distributions from donor and JEF funds, our portfolio has benefited tremendously from our generous fundholders as well as a robust market. We know that we could not do any of this without the continued generosity of our community. We must also express our gratitude to Sandy Levy. We continue to receive the largesse from donors cultivated during her long tenure as Executive Director. We are both amazed and inspired by Sandy’s legacy in our community and can only hope that our work today will benefit our community for generations to come.
We are proud that JEF continues to take a leading role in providing resources that promote the welfare and security of our Jewish community, now and in the future. And we are equally proud to have financially supported the community through the difficulties of COVID and Hurricane Ida this past year.
