I hope you are all having a fantastic summer, enjoying this time with your families and loved ones!
 
As we begin our 2022-2023 fiscal year, I continue to be extremely grateful to the leadership, staff, volunteers, and supporters who enable JFCS to serve as a comprehensive social service and mental health safety net for our friends and neighbors in northern New Jersey who need us.
 
It is more important than ever that we remain vigilant, providing the highest quality levels of care and support, especially when our economy is in a downturn and the cost of living continues to rise. We all feel the effects, but imagine how our clients who are already struggling feel? In addition to the clinical treatment, case management, and concrete assistance that we provide, our job, at JFCS is the building of collective resilience and strength. We are humbled by this challenge and, absolutely, up to the task. Thank you all for your participation in this effort.
 
May we continue to move from strength to strength.

Our 2021-2022 Annual Report is now available to view! The Annual Report lists all our supporters, details the agency's achievements in each of our Four Pillars of Service, and gives an overview of what our agency has done this past fiscal year.

Because of you, we were able to accomplish so much for our neighbors in Bergen, Passaic, and Hudson Counties.

Our Annual Meeting
On Wednesday, June 22nd, we had our annual meeting to mark the end of the 2021-2022 fiscal year at Temple Emanu-El in Closter. 
 
The meeting opened with remarks from the President of the Board of Directors, Rachel Scheff, followed by the uplifting and inspirational words of Rabbi Jeremy Ruberg from Temple Emanu-El. A big highlight of the evening was when we honored our loyal and dedicated group of volunteers, who are the lifeblood of many of the programs that JFCS operates. We can't thank them enough for all that they do for our community!

The program concluded with a dedication to outgoing board members - Barbara Bender, Suzette Diamond, Sue Ann Levin, Jeffrey Rotenberg, and Diane Seiden. The Board of Directors for the 2022-2023 year was installed which included four new board members - Ariel Bayewitz, Richard Feldman, Lindsay Forman, and David Singer.

JFCS Receives $25K Grant from State Farm
At this year's annual meeting we were presented with a $25,000 grant from State Farm as part of the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program. JFCS was initially part of a group of 200 national finalists, and through the votes cast by the diligent Northern NJ community, we finished in the top 25 making us eligible for this grant. JFCS thanks everyone who voted for us and State Farm for letting us be a part of this wonderful opportunity.
