Health is at the core of all JFCS services, from mental health to nutritious food offerings to considerations for the healthy lives of older adults.
Due to the current circumstances and our continued efforts to prevent the spread of the coronavirus, our agency has actively taken steps to protect the health of our clients, volunteers, and staff members.
Effective March 11 through April 1:
- Gesher LeKesher and Jewish Community Youth Foundation (JCYF) recruitment and programmatic gatherings are canceled
- J-Serve, International Day of Jewish Youth Service is canceled
- All community events and days of service are canceled
- All non-client visitors will be asked to sign in when entering JFCS office locations
Our agency has implemented additional measures to maintain a clean, hygienic space for staff, clients and visitors including regular use of hand santizer, santizing wipes and posted hand washing instructions from the
Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Many of our programs provide critical services to vulnerable populations which will be further affected by disruptions work and/or school access, travel and other restrictions in efforts to protect the health of the community. JFCS will make arrangements to continue our programming to the fullest extent possible while following any directives from local, state and national health organizations.
